TRACEY of Dublin, Ireland
My ggrandfather was John Francis TRACEY , born in Ireland c.1858. He had a brother Padraig and a sister Mary Teresa. Family story is that their parents died around 1860 and they were raised by relatives in Dublin. Mary Teresa became a nun in TN, US. Patrick married in England and came to US after wife died. John came to US around 1878 where he married Elizabeth GREER in 1887.
They settled in NY City and had 6 children (Ruth Letitia 1888-?, Elizabeth Veronica (Lily) 1890-1982, John Francis 1892-c1952, Thomas Francis 1896-1971, Joseph 1898-9, Edward William 1900-1953). John died in 1909.
Padraig also settled in NY City but did not remarry and died with no known issue.
