House Speaker Mike Johnson tied aid to Ukraine to immigration reform. Why?

Is he of the belief that he is never wrong and compromise is a sign of weakness? Is he so much smarter than the President or Senators? Is the inability to compromise going to stall his career? Or is is just scared of his fellow Republicans?

Is the Speaker giving-in to Donald Trump’s desire to make Joe Biden look bad on controlling the border by a failure to govern and denying the President needed resources?
