Last week as the House considered a bill to fund the government for the fiscal year beginning in a few days (HR 4365), the House considered several amendments. Among them this one to “prohibit security assistance for Ukraine“:

The amendment did fail but 93 Republicans (and no Democrats) supported this prohibition and apparently appeasement. Those who remember a bit of history may think the appeasement of Hitler by Neville Chamberlain did not bring “peace for our time” unless you had a very short timeframe. Is there any reason to believe that appeasement of Putin would work out any better?

This group of Republican Representatives could call themselves The Appeasement Caucus but they might prefer another name.
