If the Senate got rid of the filibuster some really useful things could be done. Here are a few things that could happen without a filibuster.
- Get rid of the debt ceiling or at least increase it. Either would prevent a financial disaster.
- Support voting rights.
- Fix a bit of infrastructure.
- Pass a federal budget (instead of a series of temporary resolutions).
- Have a functional Senate.
- Have a National Bipartisan Commission on the January 6 attack on the United States Capitol.
