President Donald Trump calls himself a “wartime president.” Now we know the war is on Americans.

Mark Meadows, the President’s chief of staff, has told us the administration “not going to control” the coronavirus pandemic. President Trump continues to fail us in addressing this pandemic. There are about 225,000 American killed by the virus and President Trump continues to lie and misinform Americans on the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite President Trump’s failure to help and what seem to be his efforts at helping the spread, public health officials are advising Americans on how to save lives with simple measures such as wearing masks and social distancing. The President is undermining and endangering public health.

As the virus surges, President Trump defies and attacks these officials while holding large rallies which have been called super-spreader events for COVID-19.

It didn’t have to be this bad. About 225,000 Americans are dead and millions are out of work. More are dying and sick and the Trump economy is doing poorly.

But at least now we know why President Trump seems to fail on COVID-19. He is not failing.

He is the “wartime president”. And President Trump is at war with Americans.
