But we shouldn’t worry. If our goal is to find a new low President Trump could probably get us there. The P resident feed us a series of lies, constantly interrupted when his opponent tried to talk, refused to denounce violence and white supremacy groups, and refused to commit to a peaceful transition of power if he lost the elections.
In summary, it was a bad night for American democracy.
I thought it would be useful to look at international reaction to this.

Just a few but you get the ide. Much has ben made of the failure to condemn white supremacy groups. I do agree that is disgusting. But they forgot to ask about Nazis. Perhaps a good question for future debates.
But the part I found most disturbing was President Trump’s refusal to commit to a peaceful transition of power if he lost the elections. We already knew that he had the support of white supremacy groups, American Nazis, and other violent groups. It was not surprising that he refused to denounce them given some of his past stances. (see MAGA: USA or CSA),
But the peaceful transition of power has been an essential part of the American experiment. President Putin seems to have chosen wisely when he backed President Trump in 2016.
