President Donald Trump has completely failed in his response to the COVID-19 pandemic. When I wrote that late in May, I said:

Millions are unemployed and a hundred thousand Americans are dead. It did not have to be this bad.

Here we are about 6 weeks later and the situation only gets worse.

He has not only failed but appears to be trying to help spread the virus. Among other things, President Trump has encouraged citizens to rebel when states impose public health measures, he has encouraged states to open whether or not they meet guidelines, he held a large indoor rally which is probably related to a surge in cases in Tulsa, and he is pushing to open schools with little regard for safety.

There are now about 134,000 dead and President Trump thinks we are “in a good place” (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJYB_FUMbY0.

Sort of makes you wonder about the goals of the COVID President.
