My grandfather liked to tell jokes. Many were simple and maybe a bit silly. He had one about his in-laws that I remember. His in-laws were Emma Cash & Malcolm McKenzie.

The joke goes something like this. Malcolm did not marry for money but did marry CASH.. A very short joke but it came to mind yesterday as I was editing the record of Emma Cash on WikiTree.

I wrote about Emma Cash McKenzie about 5 years ago and to my surprise I did get a comment about her husband Malcolm McKenzie which led to learning a good bit about my McKenzie family and a very nice vacation in Nova Scotia. But I still have many of the same questions about Emma Cash.

There is a record on family search indicating her middle initial so we can be somewhat sure it is Emma J Cash. I have been emailing with a friend who is also chasing the same Mackenzie family and he found marriage record of a Jane Cash & Malcolm McKenzie which seems to fit with what we know so for now we are assuming the J is for Jane and it is Emma Jane Cash.
