The rush to confirm President Trump’s nominee for the Supreme Court vacancy Brett Kavanaugh continues. Seems to me there are several reasons to stop or delay but Republican leadership is committed to this folly. I hope enough Senators see a problem to stop this Kavanaugh madness.

I was bothered my the rush and failure to supply all of the documents needed to evaluate the nominee. Democratic Senators complain but I have not read any Republican complaints. Maybe Republicans don’t need to read them since their leaders just tell them to vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh. I was hoping that a few Republican Senators might rebel since this I would think would violate the sense of fairness of most people.

I was very surprised that a few emails seemed to have gotten though this screen to show that Judge Kavanaugh may have lied to the Senate on several occasions during the George W. Bush administration. I would have thought that this Republican screening would have just produced the least embarrassing and incriminating emails for these hearings. It will be interesting to see if we know more when the National Archives has released more documents.

Should the Senate delay the hearings until all (or at least more of) the documents are available ? Why the rush? Should the Senate stop this Kavanaugh madness? Is it better for the Republicans to confirm him now and later impeach if it does turn out that he perjured himself before the Senate?

So many questions and I haven’t yet even talked about his stances on the issues yet.
