I mentioned in my last post that I think we should pass legislation to protect the Special Counsel and his investigation. President Trump has repeatedly threatented to end the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election which Mr. Trump has called a Rigged Witch Hunt and illegal .
In my post I memtioned both House and Senate bills that have not been voted on as leadership has kept them in commitee. There is an additional Senate Bill which has been reported out of committee but as yet there has been no floor debate or vote. I am speaking of Senate Bill 2644 which like the earlier bill mentioned in my post is sponsored by Senator Lindsay Graham (R-SC). The bill is cosponsored by 2 Democrats (Senators Coons and BooKer) and 1 Republican (Senator Tillis).
Since President Trump would like this investigation shut down, will Congress stand up to protect the Special Counsel and his investigation?
