It seems we have quite a few reverse Robin Hoods in the US Senate.

Remember Robin Hood. Rob from the rich and give to the poor. But that was back in the old days.

Modern Republicans are trying to rob from the poor and give to the rich. The Congresssional Budget Office (CBO) report is out on their tax bill and it confirms this.

In addition the bill will throw millions off their health insurance.

What more could a reverse Robin Hood want? Tax the poor and middle class, limit ther benefits, give the rich and big corporations huge tax breaks. And to make it even better, any tax benefit to most individuals is temporary but business tax cuts are permanent.

All this for only 1.4 trillion dollars added to the deficit over the next 10 years. (See the chart on pages 9 and 10 of the CBO report as well as the article on CNN.)

Looking at that deficit, it seems they’ve gone far beyond reverse Robin Hoods. They not only rob from the poor to give to the rich. They rob our children since it seems they can’t get enough from the poor and middle class to help the rich as much as they like.
