I got an email titled “Who is this Guy???” It is apparently a version of an email that has been around since 2010 or earlier. I suppose the 3 question marks are meant to show that this is an important question.
I wasn’t quite sure of the point but it seems to suggest that I should not vote for Hillary Clinton because her daughter’s father-in-law scammed lots of people out of money and went to jail for it.
Who is this Guy?
The email went though several forwards before I got it but the ultimate source appears to be a county Republican committee. That could just be something misleading to appear to give it some legitimacy.
The part about the father-in-law seems to be true but a bit dated. The email says “he was released in April 2008 and remains on federal probation” but that probation apparently ended in 2011 . Snopes indicated much of the 2010 version was true but there is new stuff added that may or may not be true.
The email also mentions that Chelsea Clinton and her husband “purchased a 10.5 million dollar NYC apartment (after being married in George Soros’ mansion).” Is this is meant to further show the evils of Hillary?
Why should I care?
But the part about the Soros mansion is false (see Snopes link above). I have no idea how much their apartment cost but I don’t know why I should care either.
I am not sure who I will vote for in the Presidential election. I don’t know who will be running in that election so I don’t know the choices. Since I live in Pennsylvania and am an Independent, I cannot vote in either primary.
I do know that when I choose, I will evaluate the candidates themselves and not give much, if any, consideration to in-laws of children or other factors that just don’t seem very important.
