With the advent of retail establishments, malls and the internet, the “war on Christmas” will likely be just in name only. Way too much money is involved to deep six this tradition. Whether Jesus was born on Dec 25 or not is largely unimportant to most, in spite of the increased level of “spirituality” noted during the season.
Agreed, it won’t go away. I thought the link on 1600s Boston was interesting.
