In last Sunday’s NY Times, Henry Paulson wrote a piece called The Coming Climate Crash: Lessons for Climate Change in the 2008 Recession.
Yes, we are talking about that Henry Paulson – formerly of Goldman-Sachs and then President G.W. Bush’s Secretary of the Treasury. In short, a serious conservative and businessman.
He believes we are making the same mistake now with climate change that we made with the economy before the great recession of 2008. There are signs pointing to a major crises and we are ignoring them. We need to start fixing the problem before it become unmanageable. It is time for some serious action on climate change. The risks are so much greater than the costs.
His piece is much more complete than this short note, please read it.
