Maybe they should start a chapter of Remedial Reading for Republicans (RRR) for the benefit of President Trump and his Congressional Republican defenders.
Although the FBI’s application for the FISA warrant on Carter Page clearly refers to the Steele dossier as likely being sponsored by a person “likely looking for information that could be used to discredit Candidate #1’s campaign.” The FBI believed Source #1 (Mr. Steele) to be reliable and had cited several other sources. Names are rarely used in these applications, so President Trump is Candidate #1 and Mr. Steele is Source #1.
The full text (less redactions) is available on CNN. Those with a reading deficiency or who just want to skip right to the relevant section, it is a rather long footnote on pages 15 to 17.
Since most or maybe even all members of Congress and the President are college graduates, I assume they are capable of reading, But these the defenders of the President have not done well in theis case so perhaps a full Remedial Reading for Republicans (RRR) is not really needed. Perhaps just a refresher would be more appropriate.
By coincidence, the Reading Refresher for Republicans can also go-by the acronym RRR.
Several examples of this failure to read are below. All are recent and from Twitter which seem appropriate since President Trump has ushered in the age of government by tweet.

….and the DOJ, FBI and Obama Gang need to be held to account. Source #1 was the major source. Avoided talking about it being the Clinton campaign behind it. Misled the Court to provide a pretext to SPY on the Trump Team. Not about Carter Page..was all about getting Trump…..Devin Nunes Verified account @DevinNunes 6:38 PM – 22 Jul 2018
Shocker! Nunes memo accurate…LOL!…media/Dems go on wild rants…TIME TO ELIMINATE REDACTIONS…PLEASE RT https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/fisa-warrant-application-supports-nunes-Rep. Jim Jordan Verified account @Jim_Jordan 10:33 AM – 23 Jul 2018
FISA app confirms what we’ve said for months:
-Dossier wasn’t credible
-FBI didn’t tell the Court that Clinton was paying for Dossier
-Steele was leaking
Or perhaps this is just a willful misreading and they prefer to ignore the facts. As Upton Sinclair said “It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.”
